Managed IT Support in Adelaide and the Northern Suburbs

Most Adelaide businesses do not want to think about IT. They want the laptops to start, the email to arrive, and someone to answer the phone when that stops being true.

At Auswide, we provide managed IT support to businesses across Adelaide from our office at Smithfield, in the northern suburbs. This page sets out what is covered, how it is priced, how you reach us, and what the first month looks like.

What Does Managed IT Support Actually Include?

You pay a predictable monthly amount and we take ongoing responsibility for your technology, instead of billing by the hour every time something breaks. A managed agreement covers:

Monitoring, patching and endpoint protection

Servers, workstations, network hardware and backup jobs are monitored continuously, so failed backups and hardware showing early signs of failure become scheduled maintenance, not an emergency. Updates are scheduled and tested rather than left for each user to postpone, and endpoint protection is deployed and monitored across every device under the agreement.

A helpdesk your staff can actually use

Your team logs a ticket, emails or picks up the phone and gets a technician. No triage layers, and most issues are resolved remotely in the same session.

Backups that have been tested

Having a backup and having a restorable backup are different things. We verify data can actually be recovered, alongside our backup and disaster recovery service where a formal plan is needed.

Starters, leavers and hardware lifecycle

New staff arrive with accounts, licences and a configured device. Departing staff are off-boarded properly, which is a security control as much as an administrative one. We track what you own and what is due for replacement, so hardware becomes a planned expense rather than a surprise.

Managed IT sits alongside the rest of our IT and cloud services: cyber security, Microsoft 365, cloud infrastructure, networking and VoIP.

How Is This Different From Calling Someone When Something Breaks?

Break-fix is where most small businesses start. You call, they bill you for their time, and when nothing is broken you pay nothing. It works until it does not, for reasons that are structural rather than personal.

Getting IT Support Shouldn’t Be a Struggle

The incentives point the wrong way. Under break-fix your provider earns more when your systems fail. Under a managed agreement, every hour they avoid spending on your problems is an hour they keep.

Nobody owns the boring work. Patching, backup checks and documentation do not generate a call-out, so they quietly stop happening.

Costs arrive in lumps. A quiet quarter followed by a five figure recovery bill is hard to budget around.

Nobody holds the full picture. When four people have touched your network over four years and nobody wrote it down, the next fault takes twice as long to diagnose.

Managed support is not automatically right. With four staff and no server, break-fix may genuinely be cheaper. The switch makes sense when downtime costs more per hour than support costs per month.

IT That Understands Your Industry

We support aged-care centres, manufacturers, trades, legal firms, and more, with IT solutions adapted to unique needs and compliance requirements.

We speak your language, and we’ll fit our systems around yours.

What Does Managed IT Support Cost In Adelaide?

We don’t list a per-user price, and there’s a good reason for that. A 12-person practice and a 40-person manufacturer are very different. They have different numbers of devices, locations, and requirements. Any single price here would likely be misleading for one of them. What’s more important than a simple price is making sure you never get surprised by unexpected bills.

Managed IT Support FAQs

A: It means we proactively monitor, maintain, and support your IT systems — not just fix things when they break. We’re your outsourced IT team.

A: With break-fix, you only call for help when something goes wrong and pay for the time it takes to repair it. Managed IT services work differently. You pay a set monthly fee, and your provider takes care of keeping everything running smoothly, including doing preventative maintenance that break-fix usually skips. This means you might pay more during months when nothing breaks, but you’ll likely pay less when bigger problems come up.

A: Yes — we work across Windows, macOS, and common cloud-based systems like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace

A: Great! We can work alongside your internal IT team to take care of day-to-day tasks, special projects, or after-hours coverage.

A: Absolutely — we integrate cybersecurity monitoring and endpoint protection into our managed plans, or can connect you with our specialist cyber services.

A: Just book a chat with us — we’ll review your current setup and walk you through how our support can make life easier for your team.

A: We price managed IT support on a monthly basis, depending on how many users and devices you have, whether you use servers, and what services are included. The main reason quotes vary is the scope of work. For example, after-hours support, on-site visits, and project work may be included in the monthly fee or billed separately. We review your setup before quoting, then provide a fixed monthly price in writing and clearly outline anything not covered. Within the agreed scope, you will not be billed by the hour.

A: The technical part is routine. We audit what you have, deploy monitoring, take over administrative access from your existing provider and move credentials across in a coordinated handover, so nothing loses coverage. What takes longest is usually recovering credentials nobody wrote down, and we handle that during onboarding.
